Course summary:

This course begins by helping you understand the different skills needed in the workplace. Afterwards, the course describes the skills your park and recreation agency is most likely to want from you. At the end of this course, you should understand how to practice your soft skills and strengths to create an enjoyable and productive work environment. You should also understand how to identify and handle conflicts with team members or public visitors.

Course objectives:

After completing this course, learners should be able to:

  • Effectively work with your teammates, volunteers, and supervisors at your agency.
  • Mitigate and address interpersonal conflicts with your coworkers and visitors.
  • Engage with the public and your agency's users in a professional manner.
