Full course description
Course Introduction
Parent Trouble Zone (PTZ) online training was developed by licensed professional social workers and researchers. It is available as a supplement to face-to-face counseling sessions. This PTZ online training course is designed for use by individual parents and parent groups.
But what exactly will PTZ show you? What will you do?
- Web-learning: Web-learning is used for individual parent participation. It covers the main areas of conflict between adults and teens. Ways of easing conflict and solving problems are illustrated with video clips throughout. Web-learning helps parents help their kids listen, follow directions, and problem-solve. Parents may discover new strengths within themselves.
- Parent troubleshooting: Parent troubleshooting is for group participation. Parents can work together to apply what they know and have learned when they troubleshoot problems in the Discussion Forum. Participation in the Discussion Forum is anonymous and done at the computer anytime, anyplace, each week.
