Full course description
This course, sometimes referred to as our "instructor onboarding," was designed by the Office of e-Social Work Education & Practice as a resource to guide you through your online teaching experience. To help prepare yourself for the upcoming semester, please complete this self-paced, self-managed instructor e-orientation, which includes key information to:
- Get you acclimated with Canvas and the tools and technologies you'll use in an online course
- Help you understand the purpose and importance of uniform courses in online teaching
- Build awareness of and adherence to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AAA within your Canvas course sites
- Generate ideas to create your "instructor presence" in the course and enhance active and interactive learning
To get started, click the "Modules" tab in the left-hand navigation. There are three modules, which we recommend you sequentially work through:
