Course Introduction

During this course, you will learn about epilepsy and how this neurological disorder impacts children in care. You will explore the caregiver's role in minimizing the impact and frequency of seizures on children, as well as understand what treatments and interventions exist to assist youth with epilepsy. Educational, community, and state-level supports available to those with epilepsy are also examined.

The Indiana Child Welfare Education & Training Partnership is designed to provide high quality social work education and statewide training for public child welfare employees. It provides BSW students with preparation for employment as a Family Case Manager; it allows DCS employees to enroll in the School's part-time MSW Program; and it provides state-of-the-art training to current DCS employees.
