A Guide to Using INPC (Indiana Network for Patient Care) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) For Research at IU
Ends Dec 31, 2099
Full course description
This site presents training materials for getting to know electronic health records in general for research, and to gain familiarity specifically with the Indiana Network for Patient Care (INPC) data. The data used within this training module is synthetic; in order to access the non-synthetic version of patient data, there are further steps needed, but this training material is useful as a precursor to developing a request for actual patient data.
The INPC, one of the largest health information exchanges in the country, is managed by the Indiana Health Information Exchange. The Regenstrief Institute’s Regenstrief Data Services acts as the custodian of these data and only they are allowed direct access to the identifiable patient data contained within the INPC research database.
