About the Webinar

This two-part course provides an overview of youth bullying and strategies to help protect children through effective communication. Registrants also receive access to an 8 lesson bullying prevention classroom curriculum with video instructions on how to implement.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this webinar, you will be able to:

  • Define bullying, who it affects, and where it happens
  • Recognize the warning signs and symptoms that may indicate bullying
  • Identify communication techniques to protect youth

Meet the Instructor

Jonathon Beckmeyer, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of Applied Health Science at the Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington. He received his PhD in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Missouri. His research focuses on how adolescents’ and young adults’ family, peer, and romantic relationships act as risk and/or protective factors for substance use, sexual behavior, and mental health.
