Training Series for Disordered Gamblers is developed by the Indiana Problem Gambling Awareness Program or IPGAP of the Prevention Insights of Indiana University Bloomington. IPGAP is a project funded by the Division of Mental Health and Addiction to provide technical assistance for prevention and treatment of disordered gambling in Indiana. As you work through the training series for disordered gamblers, you will be guided in evidence-based research and trends related to problem gambling. You will have the opportunity to study case-based scenarios and apply current treatment standards.
This Integrating Spirituality, Religion, and Indigenous Practices Part 1 course is a part of the Training Series for Disordered Gamblers. This course will focus on using these practices in addictions and mental health prevention and treatment. The course content delves into describing religion, spirituality, and Indigenous practices and evidence-based adaptive psychosocial coping and cultural resources, supporting the intake/counseling assessment approach for exploring religious, spirituality, and Indigenous beliefs and practices during counseling, relating 3 techniques to illustrate addictions/mental health cases, and assessing resources available to integrate into prevention and treatment.
By taking this course, you will eligible to receive a certificate for 2.0 CEU's. In order to get this certificate, you must score 80% or higher on the self-assessment quiz. This course will take about 2.0 hours to complete.
