About the Training
Welcome to the SBIRT Implementation: Best Practices for Sustaining SBIRT module. This educational module has been designed for professionals and students in many fields, ncluding healthcare, mental health, justice/legal, education, substance abuse prevention, and public health.
The purpose of this hour-long module is to provide a step-by-step understanding of SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) within outpatient healthcare settings. By the end of the module, you will have completed the following objectives:
- Describe the process for SBIRT implementation,
- Identify the organizational factors necessary to sustain SBIRT implementation,
- Explain the ongoing processes necessary to initiate and maintain successful SBIRT services, and
- Recognize methods of evaluating internal processes for the purpose of maintaining and improving the delivery of SBIRT services.
CEU Certificate
In order to receive a certificate of completion with Continuing Education Units (CEUs), you must enroll the course. Also, you must score 80% or higher on the end of course assessment. This course is not for credit with Indiana University.
