Prevention Insights welcomes you to complete a self-study of the substance alcohol. This educational module is designed for professionals in the health care, mental health, substance abuse prevention and public health fields.

Prevention Insights understands that professionals prefer to receive current information on drug topics in an efficient manner. This 60-90 minute module includes historical impacts, social influences, physical and behavioral effects, health consequences, dependence concepts and shares national and state data.

The information gained throughout this self-study can be used in work with consumers/patients, community members, youth and other professionals as alcohol education.

This course does not count as an IU credit hour. The content in this course and a participation certificate are available for free; however, if you would like a certificate of completion with a Continuing Education Unit (CEU), you will need to pay $15/CEU at the end of the course.
