WHAT: Field Trip, Table Talks
WHEN: April 19, 2019.
WHERE: Bloomington, Indiana
WHY: For several decades now, the “slow food” movement has taught us how to resist packaged, mass-produced foods in favor of local, farm-to-table, organic, and/or “slow” food. As a state with a large agricultural base, Indiana has been at the forefront of these large-scale changes in how we produce and consume food. This Table Talks “field trip” event will take a group of students to Bloomington where we will learn more about how various movements resisted the Big Food industrial complex.
