WHAT:  Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences Conference

Students will be attending panels of their choosing to introduce themselves to current research and technologies in the field of Criminal Justice.  Furthermore, students will be able to meet and network with CJ professionals and take advantage of sites and experiences in Las Vegas.  This could expand their interest in the field, influence them to attend graduate school, and/or give me the opportunity to obtain future employment.

WHEN: March 14th – 19th, 2022

WHERE:  Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino – Las Vegas, NV

WOW:  For two of the students, this trip will provide them with many firsts.  It will be their first airplane ride, first trip to the West Coast, and for all three, it will be their first academic conference attendance.  They will get to stay near the Strip in Las Vegas which will provide them with an experience in-and-of itself.  Furthermore, there will be multiple security and CJ professionals in attendance so the students will be able to apply what they learn while also seeing the personal side of many of these professionals they have discussed in class and met on KEY trips.
