Earn a digital badge in Robert's Rules and Parliamentary Procedures. 

Description:

Participants will learn how to use Robert's Rules of Order and basic parliamentary procedure to run meetings, take votes, keep minutes, etc. This training will benefit people in a number of workplace or educational environments, especially those who have large, formal meetings. Small groups can benefit as well, as Robert's Rules are designed to guide fair discussion, nurture an environment where civil disagreement can thrive, and take action as a group through votes and other mechanisms. Participants who successfully complete the sessions will receive a verified skills digital badge from IU Kokomo.

Wednesday, June 25 and Thursday, June 26 5:30-7:30 pm, at IU Kokomo, 2300 S Washington St, Kokomo, IN 46904. Room KE125, East Building

Instructor: 

Edwin Faunce is an adjunct instructor of communications in the IU Kokomo School of Humanities and Social Sciences. He teaches business and professional communication and speech. Ed is an alum of IU Kokomo, and as a student was a coach for the speech team. Ed holds an M.A. in Telecommunications from Ball State University and is co-founder of a hyper local news website, The Kokomo Lantern. Professor Faunce can be reached at efaunce@iu.edu
