Special Summer Course - Starts June 1st
This is a special Summer 2023 version of the regular IUHS Pre-Algebra, First Semester course. It is intended to be completed in 8 weeks, beginning on June 1 and ending on August 1, and will feature rapid grading and enhanced teacher feedback.
This pre-algebra course is designed to develop your ability to solve real-world problems and covers many introductory topics of algebra. Topics include fractions, decimals, algebraic expressions, order of operations, graphing ordered pairs on a coordinate plane, solving equations in one variable, solving and graphing inequalities, exponents, scientific notation, measuring and converting using metric units, measuring and converting in standard English units, and solving perimeter and area problems using formulas.
Note: this course is not NCAA approved.
This course is designed for first-year high school students on up.

A basic knowledge of operations with fractions, decimals, and integers is suggested.
