Course Overview
This is a special Summer 2023 version of the regular IUHS French I, Second Semester course. It is intended to be completed in 8 weeks, beginning on June 1 and ending on August 1, and will feature rapid grading and enhanced teacher feedback.
A continuation of the first semester French I course, this is an introductory course focusing on all aspects of French, including speaking, hearing, reading, and writing. Special emphasis is given to French-speaking cultures from around the world. Includes access to online textbook and interactive features, such as practice activities, self-tests, and video and audio files to improve French-speaking skills.
This course is designed for first-year high-school students or higher.

Prerequisite
French I First Semester or equivalent (one semester of high school French).
Required Materials
The textbook for this course is Bien dit! French 1, and it is available as both a hard-copy book and as an online book. The online version is required (and free), while the hard-copy book is optional (but never goes off-line).For access to the online version, you will need to request a username and password for the website before you begin your lessons.
