Special Summer Course - Starts June 1st
This is a special Summer 2023 version of the regular IUHS Algebra, Second Semester course. It is intended to be completed in 8 weeks, beginning on June 1 and ending on August 1, and will feature rapid grading and enhanced teacher feedback.
This course will build on your existing knowledge of mathematics by developing skills and strategies that you can apply in many areas of your life.
Algebra is the foundation for geometry, higher-level algebra courses, trigonometry, and calculus. The concepts you learn in this course will be used in every math class you take. Continuing the progress you made in Algebra I, First Semester, this course explains the terms used in algebra, and provides the ways to simplify and work with exponents and exponential functions; solve and factor polynomials; graph and solve quadratic functions and equations, radical expressions and equations, and rational expressions and functions; and organize, interpret, classify, and analyze data, and find probabilities. Not only will you learn the skills needed for these concepts, but you will also develop the ability to apply these skills to real-world situations.
