Course Overview

An introduction to the study of physical science with an emphasis on chemistry. Explores the scientific method; formation of scientific theories, specifically the atomic theory; various interactions of matter, organic chemistry, and biochemistry; and chemistry involved in searching for alternative energy sources.

The course is designed for high-school sophomores or higher.

Prerequisite

None, but requires some basic mathematics for conversions in the metric system and in the solution of simple equations.
