PreCalculus, First Semester

Course Overview

Prepares students for college-level calculus, technical school, or employment in industry. Reinforces and extends concepts learned in Algebra II: relations and functions, logarithmic and exponential functions, sequences and series, data analysis, and mathematical reasoning and problem solving.

The course is designed for high-school seniors.

Prerequisite

Four semesters of high school algebra and two semesters of high school geometry, preferably all completed with a B average or higher.

Students are allowed (and sometimes required) to use a calculator.

Desmos (Electronic Resources #1 above) is strongly recommended as a calculator, but any graphing calculator is also acceptable.
