Course Overview

Builds upon the listening, speaking, writing, and reading abilities learned in the first year Spanish courses. Highlights the cultures of Costa Rica, Argentina, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.

Prerequisite

Two semesters of high-school Spanish.

Required Materials

The only required textbook for this course is ¡Avancemos! Spanish 2, 2018 edition, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, ISBN-13/EAN: 978-0-544-86122-0. This is an online textbook, and is available for no extra cost for all registered students

Students will need access to a computer with a microphone or a headset to record some assignments and may want to download and listen to MP3 files (iPod, MP3 player, computer with speakers or headphones). Students also need to record oral assignments on a computer, using a microphone or headset, and then upload their audio files (read Creating Spoken Audio Files on Your Computer).
