Full course description
Continuing on from German II, First Semester, this is a second-year course focusing on all aspects of German language, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Students learn to comprehend meaning based on context and continue to expand their knowledge of German grammar. Upon completion of both semesters of German II, students should be able to communicate in simple German about a variety of topics: food, school experiences, different media and jobs, sports, entertainment, and other cultures.
Students also learn about different ways of life, expressing emotions, and formulating wishes. In addition, the course covers more about the Federal Republic of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, films and festivals, public transportation, and about behaviors in German-speaking cultures.
This course is designed for second-year high-school or higher.
