Full course description

Course Overview

This is a Cooperative version of Creative Writing. Students may register and begin the course whenever they wish. The course provides students with a "writer's workshop" experience. It will teach students about the elements of fiction (including characterization, approach, point of view, tone, and plot) and a variety of poetic devices, while also guiding them through the process of creating their own works of fiction and poetry. The course includes opportunities for students to share and learn from one another's creative efforts as well as the option to "publish" work to share with a larger audience.

Please note that Cooperative courses are restricted to teen-age students only; you must be under 19½ at the time of registration.
