Course Introduction
Global Learning Module for First-Year Students introduces students to the basics of global learning, suggests various activities and assignments that encourage active global learning, and explains why global learning matters. The module includes introductory pages on global learning, culture, and critical reflection that include both student and instructor resources, pedagogical resources for globally focused interactive in-class activities, two customizable globally focused assignments and informational pages for students and instructors who are interested in exploring other global learning opportunities.
Course Objectives
Learners will:
- Identify strategies to implement global learning at home in their courses
- Describe aspects of facilitating a quality global learning experience abroad
- Describe strategies for supporting international student success
- Identify resources to facilitate their own intercultural learning
