    • Dr. Brooke Harris Garad is assistant research scientist with the Center on Education and Lifelong Learning (CELL) at the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, Indiana University, Bloomington. Harris Garad is also the Chair of the Committee on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at IIDC. Teacher Education is at the heart of Harris Garad's research and teaching background. In addition to teaching and conducting research in traditional, informal, and non-formal learning environments, Harris Garad has worked as a teacher educator in New York City and Djibouti, East Africa; an English instructor in Grenoble, France; and an online English teacher for elementary school-aged children in China. Harris Garad speaks advanced French and intermediate Spanish.
