This is an updated version of the Diabetes Prevention Program.

Eligibility: Full-time IU faculty & staff. Spouses on an IU-sponsored medical plan.

"Prevent Type 2 Diabetes" is a proven program to prevent or delay Type 2 diabetes. If you're looking for the latest research and resources on your journey to preventing Type 2, this program is for you!

In this program, you will learn small strategies that make a big difference in an expert-led, confidential, small-group setting. Examples of sessions in this 16-week program:

  • Simple lifestyle changes resulting in a healthy you
  • Food choices that make you feel great
  • How to take charge of what’s around you
  • Group motivation and individual mentoring
