Full course description

This is a seminar for IU Bloomington faculty exploring ways to approach funding proposals with untested, but potentially transformative, research ideas or approaches that may not fare well under normal review.

Do you seek support for exploratory work in its early stages, or has your research opened up new questions and avenues to explore, but you lack preliminary data? Are you intrigued by pursuing “blue sky” funding for radically innovative, but relatively untested research approaches or ideas? Proposal Development Services presents a workshop targeting high-risk/high-reward funding mechanisms and programs for all faculty ranks.

The session is designed to introduce a wide range of opportunities and discuss strategies for positioning individual and group research proposals to fit a range of agency announcements. These announcements are growing in number as agencies respond to calls for increased funding. to catalyze high-risk, high-payoff research. #iptraining
