IU Bloomington Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Series

The Office of Vice Provost for Graduate Education and Health Sciences, in collaboration with the Office of Research Compliance within the Office of the Vice President for Research, is pleased to offer IUB RCR Series. 

This series is designed to satisfy the requirements of NIH/NSF RCR Education. Opened to all members of the IU research community, there will be 2 two-hour workshops offered per semester. 

Workshops will be offered in the following content areas:
  • Threats to Research Integrity  (September 21, 2017,  4:00 - 6:00 pm) Located in the Indiana Memorial Union Building - Dogwood Room
    Research Misconduct
    Conflicts of Interest/Commitment
  • Protection of Research Subjects/Participants (November 9, 2017, 4:00 - 6:00 pm) Located in the Indiana Memorial Union Building - Dogwood Room
    Human Subjects Research
    Research with Animals
  • Reporting/Reviewing Research (Date/Time/Location TBD)
    Peer Review
    Publications practices and responsible authorship
  • The Practice of Research  (Date/Time/Location TBD)
    Data acquisition, management sharing and ownership
    Collaborative science
    Mentor/trainee responsibilities


These interactive face to face training sessions are led by a panel consisting of faculty researchers experts, research compliance staff and administrators.
