IU Bloomington Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Series
The Office of Vice Provost for Graduate Education and Health Sciences, in collaboration with the Office of Research Compliance within the Office of the Vice President for Research, is pleased to offer IUB RCR Series.
The Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Seminar Series is designed to meet the needs for the Bloomington campus' RCR education. If you receive funding from NIH/NSF and various agencies, face to face RCR education may be a requirement of your funding agency (check your Notice of Award for requirement details to ensure that you are compliant.) This series is open to all members of the IU research community, there will be 2 two-hour workshops offered per semester. Fall 2020 will start with virtual sessions via zoom!
Workshops will be offered in the following content areas:
- Threats to Research Integrity
Research Misconduct
Conflicts of Interest/Commitment
- Protection of Research Subjects/Participants
Human Subjects Research
Research with Animals
- Reporting/Reviewing Research
Peer Review
Publications practices and responsible authorship
- The Practice of Research
Data acquisition, data management, sharing and ownership
Collaborative science
Mentor/trainee responsibilities
Led by a variety of experienced research faculty, research compliance administrators and staff, these face to face seminars will incorporate a variety of delivery methods that best suits the presenter's topic area.
Attendance is recorded and necessary in order to receive a certificate of completion.
