Full course description
About This Training
The Programs Involving Children (PIC) policy was created to ensure the overall protection and safety of children involved in Indiana University programs through the use of: background checks, program registration, a mandate for program-specific guidelines, and the legal duty to report suspected child abuse and neglect.
Length: 10 minutes
Recurrence: One-time training, but recommended to be completed annually as a refresher* if you are in daily contact with minors, or before volunteering in a PIC program.
* The E-Training system only retains the first date of training completion, and will not record any additional completions.
Audience: Any employee in a PIC position at IU, or any volunteer in an IU PIC program
Attendees of this training will gain an understanding of their obligations for PIC compliance, and will be provided with the resources needed to obtain additional information on compliance matters or report issues.
