Engaging session activities will focus on promoting self-awareness, identifying and pursuing valued goals and actions, and enhancing mindfulness and compassion for self and others. Each session includes short mindfulness practices, guided self-reflection, opportunity to interact with other participants, mini-lectures, and personal values development.

Facilitator: Linda F. Brown, Phd, HSPP, is a clinical health psychologist in private practice who specializes in mindfulness-based therapies. She teaches Mindful Way to Stress Reduction for Healthy IU and is part of a research team at the Center for Health Services Research at Regenstrief Institute, Inc. in Indianapolis. The team's research focus is evaluating integrative mindfulness and acceptance behavioral interventions to improve well-being in those living with a diagnosis of cancer, their families, and healthcare providers.
