This course is administered by IU Human Resources and the IU Office of Institutional Equity.
Legal Compliance For Managers at IU is a series designed to provide you, a manager and People Leader at IU, with important information pertaining to federal and state employee protection laws. This training is required for all IU staff whose role is classified as a People Leader within the IU Job Framework.
Upon successful completion of this series, you will better understand employee rights and protections under federal law and IU policy and be able to:
- Identify how and when these regulations and policies impact your employees and work teams.
- Recognize your role as a manager in ensuring your employee's right and protections.
- Recall who and/or where to access resources to assist you when these issues arise.
The online portion of the series should take 3 hours to complete though timing will vary.
