Full course description

This class is 2 hours.  Have you ever wondered how many of your job responsibilities fall under “other duties as assigned”? Most of us have multifaceted roles, requiring us to balance our core responsibilities with “other duties”, whether they have been assigned to us or we have volunteered for them. This workshop will provide participants the opportunity to examine their day-to-day responsibilities and evaluate their many time commitments. We will begin with an individual, hands-on activity to evaluate how much time is spent on each of your professional roles and responsibilities, followed by a collaborative discussion about how colleagues have used their multifaceted roles for professional growth. We will also discuss challenges associated with having multiple roles, strategies for time/project management in order to avoid “burnout”, and steps to evaluate how your additional responsibilities could help you in achieving your professional goals.
