Full course description
This is a 3 hour class. The Workers' Compensation Legal Compliance Course outlines Workers' Compensation eligibility, benefits, reporting procedures and legal requirements for processing reported employee injuries. The FMLA portion explains FMLA, as well as employee and employer responsibilities. FMLA is the law. It is intended for supervisors, managers, and HR professionals that are likely to be involved with employee injury claims.
This is one course of a four part series. All supervisors are required to attend the university sponsored compliance training series which covers Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Worker's Compensation (WC), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Sexual Misconduct & Harassment.
