Setting Goals: How to Effectively Set, Achieve, (and Sometimes Fail) at Your Goals
Jan 1 - May 31, 2019
Full course description
This class is 3 hours. Knowing how to create and achieve an effective goal is essential for professional development; otherwise, we may fail to accomplish our goals or set ones that do not challenge us enough. This interactive workshop will allow participants to discover the underlying motivations and values guiding their goals, how to anticipate potential obstacles, the process for creating a stretch goal, as well as how to effectively respond to a setback. During the workshop, participants will create a detailed professional or personal goal, including an action plan which can be immediately implemented into their work and/or daily life. Strategies will also be provided for supporting others, such as colleagues, students, or even friends and family, in achieving their goals.
