Mandatory Orientation:
Thursday, Feb 8
12:00-1:00 p.m.
Hayes Hall Room 275

Meet virtually (online or on the phone) w/ student coaches for 8 sessions between February 12-April 13
Date/time/location your choice

Eligibility: Full-time IU faculty & staff. Spouses on an IU-sponsored medical plan.

Work with a student coach who can help you:

  • Set movement goals.
  • Learn to utilize campus wellness resources.
  • Get to know your activity style.
  • Log movement using an activity tracker (Fitbit Flex provided by Healthy IU. *See note below.)
  • Receive instruction on work place movements at your desk.

The goal is help you become informed with what you can do to get more movement in during your day.
School of Public Health graduate and undergraduate student coaches work with participants for 30 minutes, once per week for 8 sessions, online or on the phone. Meeting times are arranged with your student coaches. Student grade is dependent on employee engagement. Please ensure you can meet with your student coach 8 times throughout the program.

*Please note: Only full-time employees and their spouses covered under an IU sponsored medical plan are eligible. The value of the Fitbit ($59.95) is considered taxable income and will be reported on box one of your W-2.
