Full course description

Recognizing that we are a part of a larger community, the university prides itself on maintaining a high degree of water quality in this natural resource through environmental and state compliance programs.

The Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) program identifies and controls or eliminates potential sources of petroleum contamination to surface waters in the unlikely event of a spill.

The Stormwater Protection Program identifies the requirements of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) in accordance with the Clean Water Act.  

The Wellfield Protection Program provides guidance and requirements for some IU campuses in the protection of groundwater.
