Course Introduction
This course is intended for Indiana University employees who are potentially exposed to Respirable Crystalline Silica Dust (RCS). It establishes methods and precautions that shall be used by Indiana University personnel where RCS exposures occur. This training is intended for Indiana University community members only. Learning Outcomes
After completing the modules, you will be able to:
- Be familiar with silica and its risks, exposure routes, and health effects of RCS exposure.
- Understand OSHA guidelines for RCS.
- Recognize control methods, hazard communication, and recordkeeping for RCS.
