Course Introduction
This course is to train IU employees exposed to greater than or equal to an 8-hour TWA of 85 decibels. This Program is intended to comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standards contained in 29 CFR 1910.95.

Learning Outcomes
After completing the module, you will be able to:
- Know and understand the nature of hearing loss and how to protect oneself from excess noise exposure.

- Authorities and responsibilities
- Basic hearing anatomy & physiology
- Sound measurement
- Types of noise exposure
- Types of hearing loss
- Noise control measures, including hearing protection devices and audiometric evaluations
