Course Introduction
Fire safety: saving lives!
This course is through the Office of Insurance, Loss Control & Claims (INLOCC) and provides valuable information about lifesaving fire safety and the use of fire extinguishers. This is basic training about extinguishers and hands-on training is available from INLOCC.
This module is for all employees, students, and volunteers on any university property. This is general information about fire safety and the use of fire extinguishers. We also provide hands-on extinguisher training.
Learning Outcomes
This training covers:
- Fire prevention
- Stages of a fire
- Fire hazards in the workspace
- When to flee or flight
- How to locate extinguishers and apply the extinguishing agent
- Who to contact with questions
